Snake Saturday!

This weekend is St. Patrick's Day, with Saturday being Snake Saturday!!

I believe *most* places have announced what they're doing this week so I thought maybe it would be a bit easier to list out all the events on Saturday now than to wait - so you can plan accordingly, of course! :)

There is SO MUCH going on, on Saturday - celebrations, beer festivals, and a new brewery opening!

Here we gooo!

* HopCat St. Patrick's weekend party - you will need tickets
* Happy Basset Brewing - opens at 6am: breakfast, photo booth, ping pong table, and music at 7pm
* Big Rip - opens at 8am: breakfast ($5, RSVP), special tappings, music, and NO COVER
* Cinder Block - opens at 9am: $3 or $10 cover, music, special food menu, and beer
* Velo Garage - opens at 9am: beer specials
* Grain to Glass - opens at 9am: $5 cover & $20 for parking, beer/food specials
* Iron Rail Brewing - opens at 9am
* East Forty Brewing - opens at 9:15am for the parade in Blue Springs: food & beer/cocktail specials
* Callsign Brewing - opens at 9am: no cover, beer & cocktail specials, new tappings, music
* BKS Artisan Ales - opens at 10am: food specials
* Screenland Armour - opens at 10am
* Crane Brewing - opens at 12pm: Thanatos release and Harp Barbeque (get that food!)
* Kansas City Bier Co - opens at 11am: STARKBIERZEIT
* River Bluff Brewing - opens at 12pm: music
* Mike's Wine & Spirits (Brookside) - opens at 12pm: music, tastings, party
* Transport Brewing - food truck 2pm
* Limitless Brewing - food truck 4pm
* Strange Days Brewing - Big 12 Championship 5pm
* Norsemen Brewing - 10th Annual Flat Tire event 5pm

Parlor KC

Last Saturday I had the amazing opportunity to try out Parlor. A new restaurant concept opening THIS FRIDAY in the Crossroads - 17th and Locust, behind Double Shift ;) It was quite the experience! Seven different restaurants to choose from, two full service bars (one upstairs and one downstairs), several areas to relax, an awesome patio upstairs, and beautiful murals throughout. I had a great time, to say the least. The food. WOW! Incredible. There is something for everyone's tastes there, even my kids' who can be pretty picky. Let's start with the downstairs. When you walk in you are greeted with lovely hosts but also great sitting spaces to just hang out, relax, enjoy. To the right is the living room area.
