This week, there's another beer fest!

Ha! There really is another beer fest this Saturday in KS hosted by Brew Lab! I am kind of jumping the gun, I'll get to all those details in a second.

This past weekend was Brewtopia/Festival of the Lost Township and we hope everyone had a great time! We were out of town visiting friends, Piney River & Springfield Brewing Co. Fun time, great beers.

Here is your look ahead at this week's happening's...

Tuesday, September 19th:
* Customer appreciation (Twos Days) at Fringe Beerworks (12-10pm)

Wednesday, September 20th:
* Chocolate Milk Stout FLOAT NIGHT w/Shatto Milk Co at Border Brewing Co (4-9pm)
* Flying Saucer glassware night w/Crane Brewing, Stockyards Brewing, and Cinder Block Brewing (6-8pm)
* Trivia night at Smoke Brewing Co (8-10pm)
* Fog Machine launch benefiting Heart to Heart International at Torn Label Brewing (5-10pm)

Thursday, September 21st:
* KC Girls Pint Out at Bier Station (6-8pm, get tickets here - this includes your first pint, swag, and tour of Bier Station)
* Martin City Brewing Co beer yoga at Kanza Hall (6-7:30pm, get tickets here)
* Missouri Mashers 'Its Always Stout Season' meeting at Big Rip Brewing (7-9pm)

Friday, September 22nd:
* Plaza Art Fair begins at 5pm and runs through Sunday!
* The Witch beer release at Torn Label Brewing (5-10pm) & Screenland Armour (10:30pm-12am)
* Microbrewing Beer - Join Chris Roberts from Red Crow Brewing at Louisburg library discuss his experience with brewing (6-9pm)
* KC Bier Co's Oktoberfest beginning Friday at 4pm and running through Sunday 9pm

Saturday, September 23rd:
* Downtown Overland Park Fall Fest beginning at 7am!
* Yoga on the patio at Rock & Run Brewing (9:30-10:30am)
* Coffee beer & donuts at Tapcade NKC feature Boulevard Brewing's Tough Kitty (12-3pm)

* High Plains Brewhoff - Saturday's beer fest at Brew Lab (1-7pm). There will be live music, homebrewers, AND YOU GET TO JUDGE! Want to go? Head to Brew Lab and ask about an invite and to purchase your shirt/glass. Then Saturday put your best 'judge' pants on and head over. For more information, go here!

* KC Beer Tour - one hour kayak tour with stops at two breweries (Calibration, Big Rip, or Border Brewing) (2:30-6pm, get tickets/more info here!)
* Crane Brewing tasting at Underdog Wine Co (4-7pm)
* Brews for Blood Cancer, hosted at Crane Brewing. A portion of the sales will go to The Leukemia Lymphoma Society (5-10pm)

Sunday, September 24th:
* Sunday Funday crowler sale at Fringe Beerworks starting at 12pm!
* Live music at Stockyards Brewing (3-6pm)

Parlor KC

Last Saturday I had the amazing opportunity to try out Parlor. A new restaurant concept opening THIS FRIDAY in the Crossroads - 17th and Locust, behind Double Shift ;) It was quite the experience! Seven different restaurants to choose from, two full service bars (one upstairs and one downstairs), several areas to relax, an awesome patio upstairs, and beautiful murals throughout. I had a great time, to say the least. The food. WOW! Incredible. There is something for everyone's tastes there, even my kids' who can be pretty picky. Let's start with the downstairs. When you walk in you are greeted with lovely hosts but also great sitting spaces to just hang out, relax, enjoy. To the right is the living room area.
